There will also be opportunity for Midlands West members to qualify for the Bewcastle Boy Blue Inter Area Challenge (final to be held at the Southern Fell Pony Society Breed Show in September). This show is also a qualifier for the NCPA Pony of The Year show.

May ~ Hoof Dissection Demonstration (Date to be confirmed)
Is anyone interested in attending a hoof dissection demonstration? Debbie Roberts Jones knows of an Equine Podiatrist is who is happy to do one for the MWSG group but before we commit to booking him we need to have at least 10 people confirmed to attend. While we appreciate this might not appeal to all, Debbie reports that she has been to one of his demos before and found it not in the slightest bit gory or difficult to watch. We will have to make a small charge towards costs so the more of you who can attend the lower the cost will be. We are potentially looking to hold the demo at Diane Key's home at Seighford near Stafford. This means the catering will be for free!

There will be a dissection and then a slide show with a chance to ask questions, etc. There's not many chances to see inside a hoof capsule, so if you would like that chance, please contact either Diane or Debbie.

Sunday June 19th ~ Derbyshire Fell, Dales and Highland Pony Show at Barleyfields Equestrian Centre, Etwell, Derby DE65 6HT. Schedules will be available to download from www.westmids-fellponies.org.uk or by sending a large SAE to Mary Longsdon, Eaglets, Little Longstone, Bakewell, Derbyshire, DE45 1NN, nearer the time.
